My Third consecutive Shave with the Mongoose, which handles so easily that the shave is not only smooth but one can polish up all stubborn areas to get an ultra close finish. If I did not like swapping between razors this could easily be a Daily Shaver.Have so far had none of the problems that other uses have reported on, such as razor burn, post shave irritation.I think that perhaps my choice of blade has helped the Shaves to go well.

Prep - Noxzema / Hot towel
Pre shave - Proraso
Razor – Weber ARC
Blade – Astra S/S
Brush - The 'Americana' (Shavemac 24/48 D01 2 Band)
Soap – Tallow+Steel : Classic
Post - Cold water rinse / Barrister & Mann Latha Taiga Post-Shave Splash

Wonderful! Tallow+Steel (in any formulation) + The 'Americana' is always going to be a pleasure. In fact, if I had the funds, I'd buy another D01 2 Band in a heartbeat.. and the B+M Latha Taiga Post-Shave Splash is a cedar lovers dream.. BOOOOOOM! :)

Preshave: Hot water rinse + bloom water
Razor: Gillette Slim Twist
Blade: Astra SP (4)
Brush: New Forest badger
Shave Soap: Wickham 1912 Russian Leather
Aftershave Balm: Rock Face Shave Butter
Aftershave Lotion: Brut Original

Another steady, drama free shave this morning, no nicks, no weepers and SWMBO loves the scent left in the bathroom by the soap. A bit more buffing work required for the desired finish but I'm happy with a near BBS and set for the day.

The razor rotation brings up another combo for tomorrow. Meanwhile, have a relaxing Sunday, gents.

Regards,
Chris

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea face scrub and L'oreal Charcoal face wash
Pre: King of Shaves pre shave oil
Razor: ATT R2 with Atlas handle
Razor blade: Polsilver
Brush: Semogue 620
Cream: TOBS Eton College
Post: Thayers witch hazel and Floid Vigoroso A/S

First shave for 5 days so need a razor to handle it. I chose the ATT R2 as my weapon of choice and I chose wisely.
After a false start due to a blunt blade, the shave was very smooth and close.

The cream was ok but the scent wasn't prevalent through the shave. There was plenty of slickness and protection.

First outing of the Semogue 620. Very little scritch or scratch. I usually bowl lather so face lathering is a new experience for me. Creating the lather was ok but I think I need to work on my water to cream ratio.

Finished off with the Floid aftershave. It was ok(not mad about the scent) but I prefer the Fine and Myrsol aftershave.
If anyone fancies a trade please drop me a PM.

Enjoy your Sunday.
Cheers
Rob
