My sock drawer is made up of 3 brands. Goldtoe socks for work, Smartwool socks for walking/hiking, and The Bradford Sock Company for everything else.

Technically I also have some Belstaff socks, but as they're made by Bradford that doesn't count.

I never spotted this thread before. Darn Tough socks are my recommendation, guaranteed for Life, made in Vermont.
I shall look at the other brands referred here, starting with Bradford or Smart wool.

Black M&S lambswool socks which I’ve had for seemingly ever. HJ Hall socks in a few different solid colours and a few pairs of stripy things. Canna stand cotton socks - they feel shite.

For my winter socks, walking boots and normal winter boots, it will be high-tech with a high level of merino wool mix. It's usually Marks & Spencer for summer socks

I decided to get Octavia when I drove with taxi that had 650k on the clock and according to taxi driver only regular services. Bought new one in 2020 and zero issues so far.
