Picked up a pack of Feather Pro-guard's on https://www.shaving.ie

Seven shaves in and I'm still using the first Feather Pro-guard .
My poor Merkur progress doesn't get a look in since I got the Colonial Brass "General" :)

Can someone "Not looking at anyone..........Halvor":D give me some feed back on Kai Captain Titan pinks?

Sorry, Manic, I never went further with Captain Milds after the sample pack and can't recall. It seems a few report 'not as sharp as Feathers initially but increasingly smooth, beyond the Feathers'. Others may chime in.

What I can say, though, is make sure to steer clear of Feather's pink blades, aka Softguards! :surrender:

I thank you kindly Halvor and for your advice

Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink, I usually get five nice shaves and then I start to feel the slight tug.
Feather ProGuard, I get 9 great shaves and it keeps going strong. Why stop at 9? My other razors get jealous and I need to change things up. With that said, the RazoRock Black Hawk V2 is a great razor with a Maggard MR18 black handle. Perfect added weight to give this razor head amazing balance and near BBSS.

Big fan as I am of the Schick, after 5 or 6 shaves, I too find they start to tug. However, the fact that they shave so well from first use makes me prefer them to othe 50mm blades - and at about £20 for 60 blades, it's no problem ditching them. I think that's about 7 pence a shave.

For Vintage SE around 6 with a Gem S/S

My new favourite Blades are the Schick Proline AC blades, which come in two sizes :-
1. Type P [ 50mm] For Mongoose,Cobra ,Hawk, General , Claymore etc.

2 Type B [38mm ] For Supply SE and Vintage Injectors, need to be loaded from a host keyed Dispenser.

I can get up to 10 shaves, but now limiting it to 8. The Bonus is that they are quite inexpensive.
