Ran out of shampoo bars and back on shower gel/H&S shampoo, already noticing a degradation in scalp condition. Back to bars it is...

I'd steer clear of head and shoulders shampoo. My hairdresser told me that if a client doesn't like the hair dye they chose then they'll recommend using either H&S shampoo or Fairy Liquid to strip as much of the colour out as possible. Both are equally abrasive!

Interesting, thanks for the tip, I generally just use whatever the Mrs buys...

Funky soap shop, tea tree and been oil bar ordered.

I’ve just ordered the Funky Soap Black Seed.
Thanks guys for getting me into something else new... It’s a bit cheaper than shaving, brewing, cars, and watches I’ve been influenced by forums to buy, so you’re forgiven. [emoji12]

That really is interesting.
I knew shampoos were bad, but I had never thought of them being abrasive.
Plus I am amazed about Fairy liquid, I always thought that was a mild soap.

Well I guess it's mild for a roasting tray!

Most shampoos are fine but H&S is pretty harsh and strips out oils as effectively as a washing up liquid

Ah, yes, of course.
It really is good at breaking down oils, hadn't thought of it like that.
H&S would make your plates taste yucky wouldn't it?

It's... alive!

Probably not, unless you have water so hard that it makes washing off soap a challenge.

I received the Funky Soap Black Seed bar. It’s supposed to help scalp complaints and slow hair loss. Never had any scalp issues, but I am receding.
I have hard water, and it lathered up really well.
Interested to see how I progress with it

Just thought I would update on this Funky soap. It came with a full a4 page of warnings and suggestions, basically saying my hair may become a greasy mess whilst it adjusts.
No issues at all, hair is easier to style, and no issues with grease, but then I do wash my hair daily.

I do miss the convenience of a liquid in a bottle, but using this soap is definitely more cost effective at £2.80 delivered, and my hair is better for it

Agreed, I love the stuff too. Better than both the Fredricsson's and the DR Harris for me... I'll be ordering more for sure...
