Photo quality printer paper

I went into WH Smiths to buy some photo quality printer paper so I can print off a few pictures. I was shocked at the prices. I'll be using a lazer printer at work - just an office one not a specific photo printer which will print at 1200ppi

Is it worth getting the premium paper, or even the mid range one over the everyday one? Thanks, Paul

I gave up with printing my own photos ages ago; printer clogged, nozzles blocked, streaky photos... I buy a cheap(ish) printer with individual inks, for day to day to use.
I use the "freeprints"app to get proper prints when I want them...

I found out it is cheaper to sent them to a photolab and let them take care of it.

Also better quality prints then I can make from my printer.
