Palmolive Shaving Cream

I have been using the Palmolove shaving stick for quite a while, many months in fact and I was happy with the results.
Today I used the Palmolive shaving cream and lathered it on my face. This product is fantastic producing a smooth and close shave and significantly better than I achieved with the soap.

I use the Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream in the green tube and i do wonder if it will either disappear or change its name / formulation at some point in the relatively near future, due to all the controversy about the harvesting of Palm oil. Having said that, Palm Oil is used in so many food and personal care products, that any attempt to limit it would cause massive problems across the retail world.
Back on subject - its very, very good and incredible value for money as its so concentrated. I use a large pea sized blob of approx. 1 to 1.5gm per shave (yes i did measure it !!) and that easily gives me enough lather for a 3 or 4 pass shave. A tube will last me 4 to 5 months (or more) shaving 3 times a week. The only slight downside for me is that it leaves my face a little dry after use (same as the Palmolive stick did) , but nothing that a splash of water wont fix after finishing a shave
I keep 2 tubes in at a time and just buy more as needed from Sainsburys for a frugal £2 a tube.
Have been tempted to try others like Nivea or Arko, but this is such a great performer, in my limited experience of shave creams. Its certainly equal or better than the Proraso that i tried in the past.

Trawling through ATG recently i saw old threads where people talk of TK Maxx having shave bargains and i suddenly realised that i drive past a TK Maxx most days and have never given it a thought really.
So went in today and found Proraso creams , so got these two to try out for a measly £2.99 each . Should last a fair amount of time, alongside my mini stash of Palmolive Classic

which do you prefer, the palmolive shaving stick vs the cream?
i used the stick for the last two shaves, its good and its what i used in my teens but i think the cream is a tad bit better

Definitely, good product and moderately priced.
It is an oddball product in the Palmolive range, with its low price and presumably low net profit I am expecting that it will not be a fixture.
