You know what? I don’t disagree with you. People should get credit for growing and moving forward when it’s deserved. Your experiences with them demonstrate that indeed people are capable of demonstrating such growth. Imo, what with all the druggies, gamblers and abusers who were once rebuked but given another shot at redemption, shouldn’t shave nerds be accorded the same grace? And I should add that I have indeed done business with both vendors. My tushie didn’t fall off.

Everyone is trying to make a living and sometimes folk take the wrong route but there's always a good side to everyone. I'm with you mate.

Matt for all his self promotional videos also has some terrific content and makes decent razors. His Envoy is one of my favorites.

As for Eric, his past has been regurgitated so many times. I just think he makes shaving fun with his products . His Soaps, some brushes,some razors and the star jelly are all fantastic. I've had no issues buying stuff from him at all. And add to that, I'm a Sci-Fi fan and love his themes.

The gentleman & lady who are the brains of operation are different, they think out of the box, they come up with some unique products. They know how to sell and market NEW Scents. They have a very successful company.

There are people who are hard core Wet Shave Collectors, these people have the extra money for every last one of these PAA Releases.

They are a one U-tube calls self a SH-NURD, aka Shave Nurd. Case Rested.

What you say may be true now. But if I was to hazard a guess, @Garagenparker is referencing Smythe’s somewhat checkered past reputation. That said, with all the “do-overs” today’s society seems to afford so many folks who’ve miss-stepped and blundered previously, the PAA people can’t seem to completely escape their history.

I really don‘t care about the past and yes, their output is crazy.

One of the major turnoffs for me is the aggressive marketing they do, but probably the sales prove them right in the way they handle their business.

And as I mentioned, Awesome Sauce really is an awesome product, the CK6 base is incredible.

I have a few ! I can’t use soaps with coconut in due to an allergy. The PAA don’t and I did bring back eight pots last year while on holiday in the USA. Going again this year and will top up on more. Favourite ones are the ones in separate photos.

When I got into traditional wetshaving not too long ago, I was watching a lot of youtube videos - they send out their stuff to a lot of youtubers and they always only have the best feedback for the products. "Influencer marketing" hasn‘t made anything better in this world, and for me, I don‘t need that nonsense in wetshaving.

Douglas aka Eric one of those people I call different, maybe if I said like Apple's Steve Jobs you could relate......Works out of normal box, gets results, innovates, creative, is successful, and is opinionated............If you do not like someone, or some company do not buy & cry about them or their products. People seldom slam PAA Products, but do slam owner.

Several places that do Wet Shave stuff, I do not buy from because of business practices, false sales, or no discounting, poor customer service, strings attracted to every promotion.

Some of these places do well, but I do not care. One in particular is a U-Tuber, who never discounts anything, does sales, etc......What his U-Tubes, but will not buy from the guy is not is a favorite charity.
