When he reference them to be long lasting; are they mwf level hard or hard enough with some give like P&B soaps? All natural oils had me perked up but not used his soap before.

The latter; they are not triple milled.

I'm not sure mate, I've never used it personally. I'd be surprised if he decided to do a clone on his comeback though?

I think that's what the d'Ardenne Short & Bell brand is all about - frag clones. IIRC Chambre was based on Dior Fahrenheit. Thankfully he's also launcing Neroli at the same time which is an essential oil based scent.

Not as hard as MWF but harder than P&B, you would have a job putting your finger through it! P.

Yep they're definetly harder than P&B soaps. I'd say they're pretty similar to the Barrister and Mann Excelsior soaps.

Regarding tomorrow's release I asked what has changed in the base...James has bid farewell to kaolin clay. Excited to see OSP return.

Thanks, good to know that, by way of comparison. I do have B&M in Excelsior base.

Only on the OSP branded soaps which are all natural, if its DAS&B then it'll be synthetic fragrance oil so loved by US artisans.

One of the reasons OSP never really "took off" was due to the natural scents, many felt they were just too pedestrian compared to what other artisan soap makers were doing, hence the creation of the DAS&B line to cater to lovers of strong synthetic scents.
