Did someone tried Magician or Explorer?
Does Magician smells of orange? Orange blossom should be different scent from orange.
How does explorer smell compared with the description?
I have a tub of The Magician on the way. Hope to receive it either at the end of next week or the week after that. I chose The Magician because someone at
B&B said it pairs well with D.R. Harris Arlington (citrus/fern). I have a sample of Arlington and I think it smells great.
As for the scents... The Magician and The Nomad are the bestselling scents and The Explorer is Heather's favourite scent (she's the owner of Zingari Man). The Explorer is based on Bvlgari Man Wood Essence.
If I happen to really like the soap base, I might get The Explorer next and possibly The Wanderer too.
Scent descriptions I've found so far on the B&B forum, The Shave Nook forum and on the Zingari Man website (customer reviews):
- The Magician:
"Fresh, clean and bright scent."
"The Magician has a bright orange scent on top a Fougere base."
"Magician is a great combination of orange, oak moss and fern, very well done and well blended in my opinion."
"Hard to describe but leaning toward B&M Seville... not a clone and to me The Magician is less magical than Seville."
"The Magician scent is a Fougere type scent with a nice orange blossom top note."
"The Magician fragrance smells fresh and light; the citrus notes add a masculine balance."
- The Explorer:
"Masculine, fresh, clean scent."
"The Explorer is kinda like T&H 1805. But a little sharp at the top (almost an alcohol vibe in the vetiver note, which is not my cup) and less aquatic than 1805."
"The Explorer fragrance is hands-down my favorite of any soap I have tried. It is alpine without being Pine-Sol; it is spicy and fresh, but also woodsy. The scent presence is moderate- enough to follow you through the day, but not enough to be distracting."
