Haha! This brings back fond memories ...

Indeed! Of the many hundreds of products that I have tried, I still think ArmorAll Shield offers the regular fellow the best compromise between least actual effort and best possible results. It can be used on ALL surfaces, just wipe on, wipe off. Apply even to a wet car: https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=18051

Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer is along similar lines and as easy to use: https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=19627 ... again, all surfaces. Not as good as ArmorAll for faded plastics.

For folks who want to get a little more involved, my recommendation is still Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid, which is a mature product now. I pre-market tested it and have used it since: https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14092 & https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14184

OH MY !!!! That is good stuff. Car has kept a cleaner but there was a light dust over it. So I took one bucket of cold water to it and it’s up sparkling again !!!!

Here is what my body man says. Any wax will do, he uses spray turtle wax. Why?

Because he is applying it to 6 or 7 coats of clear. Had rubbed lacquer is the best.

On my Wife's White E 350 & my Black H-D I use P-21S & Meguiar's Detailer Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax. Works great here on the dirt roads in the desert!
