One for all the guitarists and music fans here. Who do you consider to be the most influential guitarists of all time?
I'm not asking for a 'who are your favourites' list, as there are countless tremendously talented and much-loved guitarists out there. Specifically, who do you think had the strongest impact and influence in their chosen field?
My own musical taste is wide-ranging, but I'll begin with a couple from the heavier side of things.
Tony Iommi: Heavy Metal would not exist without him.
Eddie Van Halen: Changed not only how heavy rock guitar was played, but the actual guitars that were used.
