Milder razors

Of recent I have been using milder razors over my more aggressive options. Efficiency and feedback are still important features to me. Milder is simply a matter of less blade feel or less of a scraping feeling from razor. With the Mamba and Karve on the way I am hoping to add to the 'mild collection'. The Ikon is the latest edition and having sold an Ikon 3 or more years back this razor brought a reminiscent smile back to my face. Mild yet very efficient perfect! Incidentally I tend to switch back to more aggressive razors during Winter.

What other mild razors float your boat?

  2. My only mild razor is the Paradigm 17-4.

I've settled on milder razors too. I shave every day and some razors are just too much for daily use.

    My main 3 razors are
    Edwin Jagger DE89
Rockwell 6C (I use plate 3 most often)
    Gillette Tech

Not tried the Ikon OSS but the OC is too much for me and rarely gets used nowadays.

The SB side is incredibly smooth and mild. However it isn't as efficient as others. I need 3 passes but still very early days. Still a pleasure to use over 3 passes.

My two favorite "mild razors". Both capable of good shaves and ergonomic (length and weight)
    - Charcoal Goods SS Level 1 (sold in moment of weakness and desire for Level 2)
    - Wolfman Guerrilla Aluminum

Within my safety razor collection the Muhle R89 gives me a great comfortable shaving experience. Even loaded with an aggressive blade like a Feather, shaving with the Muhle R89 is a nice mild go.

After nearly 5 years of wet shaving; only just discovered the Gillette Tech. A milder razor, but one that works efficiently every time. A great £4 spent!

    Gillette Black Tip.
I really like the smaller size, lightness, and manoeuvrability.

What’s the second to last, Nishy, next to the Ikon? Head looks like it could have been the inspiration for the Mamba.

That is the Oristo Halvor, meant to be very very similar to the Mamba.
