Long-scented Aftershave Products?

I'm coming off of a few months of experimenting with my post-shave technique: witch hazel, wait 10 minutes, then aloe. skin conditioning has worked well, but i miss the days of my youth when the scent of old spice and others lingered into my day.

i might consider a two product alternative (aftershave and cologne), but would prefer a single product solution, an aftershave with prolonged scent life.

Preliminary research reveals only one product line of aftershaves whose distributor claims is long-lasting, 6-8 hours (Wet Shaving Products).

Are there others that you know of or have tried?

I frequently get faint whiffs of Alt Innsbruck during the day, especially if I’ve touched my face, but that’s the only aftershave I have that lasts more than 10 minutes.

I’ve never really understood the attraction of long life aftershaves given that the advice is to avoid applying them directly to the face. For me, it’s much better to use a splash and then use EdeC or something stronger for a lasting fragrance.

You need to think Italian... Extro are liberally scented, Razorock Santa Maria Del Fiore & Tuscan Oud are particularly potent, Proraso Red a bit more toned down but lingers for a good few hours.

I'm an old-school aficianado and all of the following that I have and use were deliberately sourced as vintage so might have been discontinued, or modern versions re-formulated. However, for longevity I rate: Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Kouros, Givenchy Gentleman and (definitely discontinued) Yardley Black Label. I'll also throw in Drakkar Noir which, to me, is lighter.
Living in the past? Maybe. I returned to aftershaves a bit ago, having not bothered with them for decades. Now - absolutely love them ...

I put Seaforth Black Watch aftershave in the Do Not Use tub because I could still smell it next day. Pity because I like the scent overall, just not so loud. Musgo Real was also too loud and long for me.

If one wants scent longevity, he should go for an unscented aftershave followed by a concentrated parfume oil such as Al Rehab or the likes. One touch of the ball in the bottle behind each ear. More will be too much.

I would go DR Harris Pink (lovely splash) then Mancera Red Tobacco (EdC) to @UKRob point - delicious and lasts for eternity.

P. S. Personally i don't use this combination regurarly, because my choice of fragrances tends to be overwhelming, but i treat myself whenever i feel like it, and for both the missuz's and my enjoyment.

Definitely Tabac.

although I have always preferred to see aftershave as a skincare product. If I want to wear a fragrance, I’m happy to do so without the aftershave getting in the way. No one is as good at fragrances as proper perfumers, no need for me to find a single product that does it all in one.
