I accept that sample sizes may not give an entirely accurate representation of a given soap, but the opportunity to smell and use different soaps, creams, and now balms, without having to splash out on a complete product is something I really appreciate - thank you Jim!

Great site, great service. When I started out, I foolishly bought full soaps. Now I have too many that will take ages to use up.
Newcomers often get recommended blade samplers - soap/cream samplers are not mentioned often enough...
Shavedash have lost me as a customer though... They sold me a sample of Tabac Original soap (amongst others) and now my search is over.

I'm super happy to have found Shavedash; I began wet shaving in January and went through tons of money buying tubs of soap to see if I would like them or not. Shavedash has saved me a ton of money and Jim even has some high end soaps / creams you can try i.e., Acqua di Parma, Santa Maria Novella, Antica Barbieria Colla, etc. Currently, I am waiting on some Esbjerg shaving cream samples that I requested Jim to procure. They should be arriving today or tomorrow.

Just ordered some B&M samples from shavedash yesterday. Going to try it out before buying a full tub from maggards.

I appreciate the usefulness of having an option to try several soaps in a small sample size. I am also an active customer of Shavedash and am very happy with the service. But personally I don't get much luck with samples. Firstly I find the scent can be milder or less complex than when using a full tub. Don't ask me why but it is definitely something I've experienced. Also with regards to loading, it's a lot easier from the tub, especially when using expensive badgers and not wanting to bowl lather.

Not knocking the opportunity to try samples, it's very useful. One thing I would like to see is companies offering a scent free sample with a scratch and sniff pallette to allow the full bouquet of each option to be experienced. In other words pure performance and each full scent represented immediately.

@Nishy that is a novel idea; a scent free sample to test out the soap base and then the scents apart to see which one(s) is/are more appealing. I would definitely appreciate that.

I do like how St. James of London does their shaving cream sample pack; each sample is sealed in a paper type container with an aluminum liner to keep the contents fresh. The packaging allows the creams to keep their scents and not dry out.
