Since I don't really have any razors I'm stalking these days (see how selfish I am?) and this "trick" has helped me tremendously landing items such as;
- Wolfman razors,
- RX Asylum when they came out,
- Hawk SE,
- Rocnel releases, etc
I thought I'd share with you in case anyone wanted to add one 'tool' to their razor hunting;
How to be notified as soon as something changes on a vendor's site.
First of: There are a LOT of ways of doing the exact same thing as I will be describing here - this is just the way that for ME;
- always works, and
- was super easy to set up..
Here are the simple steps:
1) Go to https://www.followthatpage.com/
2) Create an account there (it's free)
3) Enter the URL/Page you want to keep track of to make sure if anything changes
Examples:
https://wolfmanrazors.com/collections/razor-heads (to get notified when new heads come into stock)
https://www.classicshaving.com/products/king-cobra-classic-pkg (to get notified the next time KC razors are added to stock).
Scroll all the way down and click [Save]
(Most of the stuff on the page you don't need to worry about)
4) Select the frequency you want the check to be done at.
Note: You can only have one site set to be scanned on an hourly basis (the others will be daily).
The simple work around to that is to create a new Followthatpage with another email account if you want more hourly checks. It's a quick process.
5) Save. Confirm email. You're all set.
Again - the way it works is that the site scans the page you choose as regularly as you choose and if there is ANY change to the page (for instance "Out of stock" changes to "In stock" - you get an email.
Example of email I received earlier this week when James changed the inventory status on his accessories:

This site will of course also work on any page that you want to monitor - be it for when new show dates are announced for your favorite band or when the shirt you want comes in in Large.
Once again - this is of course only one site that does this but since this is the one I've been using I thought I'd write about this one.
There are some 'false positives' as well that you will get - say if the site owner updates a banner or unrelated text on that page.
