Houseplants

Morning all!

Anyone here into houseplants? I’m starting and can’t really remember why!

But bought a good old fashioned cheese plant (monstera deliciosa) and it’s kicked off a bit of a new obsession. I’m slowly turning an old fireplace into an urban jungle. Have a snake plant, two types of Pothos, and another monstera (adansonii).

The cheese plant is deffo my favourite though.

Anyone else? Or just me!

I have a couple of cactus. Very hard plants and they don't need a lot of care

Same, but something easy to look after. First thought was a cactus or two, but there must be something more interesting

I have some succulents. Real easy to care for. Water then forget for a while. But I know what you mean.

That’s why I love my monstera. When it’s popping a new leaf, it takes days to unfold, and your waiting baited breath to find out how many holes it has in it (they start with 0 young, then get holier as they grow).

Pothos are easy. Like to be root bound, like to dry out between waters so you can forget for some time and come in a few varieties.
