Morning all,

I'm a head shaver, I think there are some others on here too.

Thought it would be a good idea to share techniques and tools that you use to shave your head?

To keep things simple and quick, I use a Gillette guard or a fusion. Lovely and smooth, minimal of fuss.

I also head lather using an omega pro, the size makes things a lot easier and faster.

I'm not a head shaver but I get the job of shaving my brothers head. I always use the old type Wilkinson Sword FX diamond flexible blades. Love how these blades flex around the contours. Handle either the WS FX or Schick Tracer or Sport.
For face shaving these blades are also fab for difficult areas such as under the nose or chin area.

Head shaver, here, also. I shave my head 3-4 times a week with mainly my Progress SH and Weber DLC.
I would have never thought that losing my hair would bring such pleasure as I get to shave twice a day on those days that I shave my head. :D

Totally agree!

I'm a head shaver as well. :)

I find that Slants, SE's and Carts work best for me.

The current tools of my trade are:

Ikon B1 Slant
ATT S1
Clog-Pruf SE
Bullet-Tip SE
Gillette Fusion
Wilkinson Sword Hydra

It's a Gillette Mach 3 for me.

Coupled with a razor pit - which effectively makes cartridges last forever, well, as near as dammit forever - I get supremely comfortable (and quick) head shaves.

The razorpit is Magic ain't it?

Greatings fellow baldies!

Not such a great head shave last night, I had a couple of nicks. Nothing serious - once I had cold rinsed off I couldn't see or feel the nicks. Maybe I didn't load enough soap and my lather didn't cushion enough? After several years of headshaving I should know better.

Anyone use a straight razor, Feather AC or shavette on their domes?

How does everyone rate shaving their heads, compared to their faces?

Shaving head is trickier.
Both the same.
Shaving head is easier.

I think I might be in the minority, since I find shaving my head easier.

My skin is less sensitive and I get zero ingrown hairs on my head, which means that I can shave daily or twice daily, this in turn has meant that over the years I've clocked up waaaaaaay more head shaves compared to face shaves so my technique might be more tuned?

If I ever get a new razor or soap which I need to "get to know", then this will have its maiden voyage on a head shave day.
