Gibbs Adjustable Replica from Heritage Collection Shaving

For me it will be what materials are used and how faithful it is to the original. I suspect at the price quoted it may not be brass and the bottom plate looks slightly different but I suppose we will have to wait to see how it shaves. Still great effort...

The bottom plate will need to be slightly different I would presume to allow for the use of standard DE blades ?

Yeah,. Thats true about the materials . If brass, Zinc and chrome it's like the Gibbs material wise. Do you think it might be Zamak?

Most likely.
Machining or stamping the square corners into the base plate is not cheap.
Then the price point - there are no modern adjustables available at that price that are not zamak. I'm thinking Progress, Variant and Model T, all are zamak.

If it shaves like a Gibbs but is zamak - who really cares. Its going to be a seller.
