Getting a Boker from Rasoigoodfellas - Will it come honed?

Hi,

I am planning to get a Boker straight razor from rasoigoodfellas! Will it be shipped honed?

Also, i am shipping this to my friend in Germany who may take 6-8 months to come home. Will the razor start to rust? Will they apply any protective oil before they ship?

I don't think Rasoigoodfellas has a honing service, and new factory made straight razors (Dovo, Boker or Thiers Issard) don't leave the factory honed ready for shaving. So the answer to your first question is no. I also think that the razors are covered in protective oil before packaging, so it shouldn't start to rust.
