My favorite razor is my favourite until a genuinely better razor comes along. For SE is the Cobra Classic and has been since I first tried it. For DE it's the Blackbird which took over from the Digress.
After 9-10 years of subjectively assessing and evaluating prototype cars I take a very measured and analytical approach to the performance of 'tools' and I take my time making up my mind what's good, what's poor and what I like. Therefore, it takes a while to make my decision but even longer to change it. For instance even if I were offered a Wolfman stainless steel polished safety bar head with a 0.74mm gap I wouldn't buy it (unless it was very affordable) because I assessed Nico's pass-around one and I know I prefer my Blackbird.
