Favorite combo’s of soaps and aftershaves

With soaps that have a matching aftershave, it is clear that you use them as a combo. That is NOT what this thread is about.

It seemed interesting to me to survey your favorite combos of soaps and aftershaves of different brand. Sometimes you find those combinations purely by chance, as happened to me tonight with the first one below. A direct hit...

Worked for me tonight:

Palmolive Classic Cream + Proraso Green aftershave: five stars, so *****

Previously also found good:

Martin de Candre Original + Myrsol Don Miguel aftershave: ****

Martin de Candre Magellan + Pinaud Bay Rum: ****

Last nights shave was Palmolive Menthol cream with Proraso Green AS.

Just what I needed after a hot day.

Alexander Simpson Sandalwood Ultra-Glide Shave Cream + Pitralon: *****

It is remarkable that even the 'more popular' (and cheaper) AS's perform more than quite well. And the finishing products associated with a shaving soap are sometimes disappointing. For example, the Aqua Di Parma AS balm performs below standard for me. Ditto for the SV 70th Anniversary and the SB Aghi Di Pino who can't stand up to the soap of the same name.
