Ever-Ready Brush Handle, Swirled Catalin, Made in England, Model 906

Forum GOD!
This came to me with a knot that was totally shot. I took the knot out using a variety of hand-held tools as I didn't want to mark the inside rim. It stands 47mm, and has a knot hole of 16.5mm. It is hand-lathed, evident by the circular lines all over, including the base. I think it is a beautiful handle, and has a bit of heft to it, too. When I have a few other handles ready to go, I'll re-knot.

At first I didn't know the make, but after a light rub with acrylic polish, I was still able to juuuuust make out "Made in England" "Sterilized" (with a z) and "906", so I set to work and eventually found the same brush on another shaving community website, and it is, in fact an Ever-Ready, date uncertain, but I am going to say mid to late 40s. The OP didn't know anything much about theirs, either, despite requesting assistance.

Little is know about the Ever-Ready brushes that were made in England, and I have researched as best I can.

Below is my handle, then a pic from the OP's. You will see on their handle the remnants of a decal (bottom right, above the mid-line) which as my brother pointed out are the same as those used by Rooney. Is there a connection? Who turned Rooney handles back in the day? Could it be that Simpson turned these beautiful blanks?
