EE mobile, any good?

My phone is damaged and looking to upgrade my phone, along with the wifes.
The best deal that I've found is with EE.
I'm sure they had a bad rep. Do they still? Any opinions? Signal okay?

I'm mostly in and around Belfast these days but signal has been great since i left 3. Even in my granny's house (Leeds) which was a notorious signal blackspot i can get 4G. So much better and they throw in some BT sport package too if youre into that stuff.

Coverage is OK my house* is a black spot though Vodaphone works okayish there. Service I can't say as it's through work.

I'm currently with O2 and signal is crap at home and work. Maybe ee will be better.
Should have said I'm in the Warrington and Northwest area mostly.

My late in-laws had an EE account (Southampton area) and the broadband service was certainly more stable than the Orange service it replaced. They didn't tend to use the mobile phone service but I've heard good reports about EE coverage from others in this region.

But my family are all on O2 and we get good reception here, so sorry that's no real indicator for EE in your region.

There's an OFCOM coverage map here to check your region. I'd guess it's supposed to be impartial.

I've had an EE phone in the past and don't recall any signal issues on the rare occasions I've been over Yorkshire way unless it's remote wild areas where the modern world hasn't quite caught up and pretty much all networks struggle (Hang on...that is Yorkshire! Badum-tish!)

I've been with EE for about 3 years, not had a problem with signal or service to be honest.

We have Virgin Mobile but they share towers with EE (I routinely have my signal provided by EE).
My daughters have 4g phones and their coverage is excellent. My plan isn't upgraded to 4g (my hardware doesn't support it) but I haven't had any issues.
The next village over has a black-hole in coverage where signals from all carriers disappear (except for vodafone...oddly).

Cheers for all the help, was just weary as I've remained with O2 for years. No reason for that though.

Ordered the phone with EE!

Oh and @LeeBot I'm actually from Yorkshire, so you better retract that statement haha.
