any cocktail folk on here? ive decided to delve into the world of cocktails, just got a boston shaker and im looking for any suggestions for a good cocktail. at the moment im interested in making a good martini, also fancying manhattans, whiskey sours and godfathers. all suggestions eagerly accepted, nothing overly complicated though

Just downed a Harvey Wallbanger, my favourite, easy to make and smoothies out the edges of the day ! X2 shots Vodka x1 Galliano, ice and orange juice.

Generally quite easy. There are sites on line that you can feed in what spirits etc you have and they give you a recipe. You really don’t need a lot of equipment, always good to have a healthy supply of ice though. We always have a good selection of spirits, not a boozer really, just like and enjoy a drink, but not to excess.

Anyone for a Negroni? Equal parts dry gin (eg. Tanqueray - or better yet, Tanqueray Ten?), Campari and a red vermouth (Martini Rosso, Punt e Mas, ...), ice and orange - slice or zest.

An Old Fashioned never goes out of fashion. Or to up the ante, a Sazerac or a La Louisiane?

sazeracs have caught my eye, i like the idea of the original new orleans sazarec.
