Clean a synthetic brush

I have a synthetic brush from AP Shave Co, with a Tuxedo knot. What's the best way to clean this kind brushes. I clean my badger brushes normally with a mix of vinegar and water, can I do that also with a synthetic brush or is there another way?

Is it used? Why do you feel the need to clean it? Don't know if vinegar is bad on the hairs but good of you to ask.
I used it a couple of times after I got it a few weeks ago. With my badger brushes I feel that they perform better when I clean them. And I was wondering if you need to do the same with synthetic brushes, or only rinsing with warm water after a shave is enough?

I proceed the same way with my synthetic brushes, no damage so far.

Badger brush: Even if you decide to use white vinegar, use it diluted 1/5 with water. Do NOT leave the brush for a long time inside the vinegar. Use only if there is a build up soap inside the knot.
It shouldn't though, if you rinse it carefully with plenty of warm water after use.

However, I would use only hair shampoo.

With the synthetics is more simple, even if I tend to overdo it with a new one.

My method:
- Quick rinse with mild dish detergent
- Rub the brush on Dettol bar soap and rinse
- Wash it with hair shampoo, rinse it and microfiber towel dry.

A new one or a used one?

For a new one, it is unnecessary, only a lather I think is ok.

For a used one, don't forget that this brush maybe has touched blood from a cut or nick.

Soap build up in the base of the knot too. Flow through definitely improves after a quick shampoo

Oh I get that. I just get the impression the OP is asking about how to clean his own brushes. Like a routine?
Oh yeah, probably he meant it like a routine.

In this case, none of my brushes have build up soap, and I have never washed them.

But.. I rinse them after the shave very well under running water and make sure there is no soap inside the base of the knot.

If squeezing the knot under running water and bubbles come out of it, then it needs more rinsing.

Did you ever use an old toothbrush on the base of the knot when washing?
I'm afraid to do that.

I believe vinegar can be a natural disinfectant but only when used at full strength, not dilluted.
