Christmas Decorations?

You lucky bugger. I'm forced to take part. But we don't do a full-on Christmas house, so it's not that bad. And I can have a beer while at it.
Our kids have gone now so it will be just the tree and a few other bits should take her bout 4-5 pints of good ale methinks then home to survey the wonderment.

As it's only me the Mrs and my two Boys Oscar & Boris the Bedlington Terriers we never make much effort with the decorations, although we do enjoy the Christmas period good food plenty of Gin and wine consumed including some good TV.

Worst day of the year for me so far. She decided to start decorating early and I'm going out tonight and driving so couldn't get out for a beer. There is only me 'n' her and the house looks like Lewis's window..Christmas...Bah effin' Humbug! (disclaimer Lewis's was one of Leeds premiere city center department stores, sadly now gone)

Looking at your trees, I realise we’re squarely in the minimalist camp. But I’m quite pleased with how this little thing turned out. Since we’re going away for much of the Christmas holiday we decided to get a small one and put it up earlier than usual (23rd). That’s Santa’s Little helper under there, too :D

I think people start decorating 4 sundays before Christmas in Croatia. Some people still hold old tradition of decorating on Christmas eve. My wife, like many others, want Christmas to last as long as it can so we have our tree for couple of weeks now.

The tree went last weekend and we took the creche and the other last few bits of it down yesterday and packed it into boxes. I put it all away today, save for the evergreen wreath on the front door that will remain there till Candlemas (2 Feb). Always a little sad to see it go.
