Chemical Patina Effect

It took a few attempts to achieve the desired colour.

I used these materials to achieve a brown/ bronze patina effect on a Seygus brass and nickel Fatip Gentile

First attempt was too brassy so here's some updated pics.

Nickel Fatip treated and rubbed with extra fine steel wool.

Brass Seygus. Treated but not yet rubbed

From another Seygus brass razor owner - Nice work!! I also like the antique vs polished finish. Does the lacquer protect from further patina.

Thanks and apparently yes but time will tell. The purpose of the lacquer is to prevent further oxidation and impart a nice glossy finish. I lightly rubbed highlighted areas with 000 wire wool to create an contrasting antique effect which is better demonstrated on the handle of the Fatip
