Lots of interesting thoughts to this topic
I went this way of shaving for mainly two reasons:
One: I wanted better results and a better feeling on my skin.
Two: I wanted to get away from all this industrial and chemical plastic and canned rubbish, to items that last longer and work better and feel better in using them.
I admit, stopping to be obsessed with the idea of a perfect smooth skin after shaving for ten or more hours, has been a learning process. Still, this way I perfectioned my technique a lot.
Today, I know: I can reach a very smooth face for around 7 to 10 hours after shaving (even when it isn't necessary or possible to do so every day), but on my lower neck, more than a decent shave isn't possible (without the risk of nicks, weepers and strong razor burn and a quite uncomfortable shave).
And this is ok for me
And it is nice to know, that bbs (yes, maybe, there should be a better name/acronym for this) isn't something most people are easily getting or even striving for every day.
