Thank you for your answer! That sound great, I may become weak and buy oneThe g1? Yes mate haven't used anything else since.

A more DE style angle. I will try to ride the topcap.I dont find it mild or aggressive. Somewhere inbetween.
I dont get much blade feel either.
what angle did you use during shaving? I find it best using the top cap flat to your face.
it works and I have just completed 5 good quality Shaves.I am not the best photographer but attach some shots to show how a blade fits in the Razor & Base plate.
That's quite different.I acquired an ATT SE-G revised plate late in 2017. I am afraid like a few others I could not get into work for me.
No blade feel whatsoever. I contacted Stan at ATT who stated they had no plans to revamp the Razor. He suggested that I shim the blade and guess what, I made a plastic shim from a Gem 100 blade container. Well it worked, but I was not really happy to continue using an expensive item this way. So it languished in a drawer
for over 8 months, as a rather expensive paper weight.
Earlier this month I read that Paul @Blademonkey had a similar problem, which he resolved by modifying the base plate along the length of the blade guard, reducing both its depth and width. He kindly has lent me the plate, which I fitted to my Razor. Hurrahit works and I have just completed 5 good quality Shaves.I am not the best photographer but attach some shots to show how a blade fits in the Razor & Base plate.

2. Original V2 plate and on right the modified plate @ La Blademonkey- Well done Paul
When plates placed side by side line of holes are aligned. That's quite different.
Is it just me or are the holes in the base plate different on Paul's?
On yours you can nearly see the full circle on his you can just about make out the holes are there.
I know his had been modified before anyone says this, but his still has the drain holes intact.
Paul has kindly offered to sort mine out.Wow, Paul has removed quite a lot of metal!! No razor should need this much modifying in order to make it work.
But great result - are you going to do yours now Mike?
Oh, and they are dirt cheap too.

Got rid of the ATT SE-G and the chap who got it is Happy. The holes are definitely different.
The GEM blade, in a vintage razor, has the pointy corners covered by the stops, the corners are not rounded like DE or injector blades. That would seem to be an unsafe situation, is no one being cut by the points?
Vintage SE razors work without the need for a re-design.Oh, and they are dirt cheap too.

And very happy i am too with it Mike,
Also thanks to @TobyC for resurrecting this thread as i can now see how it was done.
PS, the Drain holes in the base plates differ, the V2 has the larger Dia. holes.
