What are your current 3 favourite shavers (cartridge)?

Can the blade be prevented from rotating sideways somehow?
I assume it cannot be locked, but would e.g. using a finger on the ring help with that?
Almost everything is possible. But why?
The 3D pivoting helps the planarity of the blades on the skin.

I like to use the Gillette slide with most of my non-slant razors, and I find it helps stretch the life of cartridge blades.

... I find it helps stretch the life of cartridge blades.
I've the opposite problem.

In 2013 I've started a challenge to experiment how long can last a hitech cartridge. (Fusion)
After several tests, this is the final strategy I’ve been using for a long time:
• I keep the cartridge in a small transparent container in which I put the sunflower oil until I cover the thickness;
• Before using it, I remove the excess oil and rinse in hot water where I then clean the lather;
• After use, I rinse it thoroughly, blow off any traces of residual water, strop on the leather side about twenty times, and put in the oil bath.

That cartridge is still alive.
After killing two handles.
In more than one decade.
... and counting!!!

Today I wanted to take this experiment to the extreme.
A simple ultrasound gel, as a lubricant.
A full three-pass cycle with the new Gillette Labs.

I must say, I’m more and more surprised.
In the worst possible conditions, the result is excellent.
I took ease and depth for granted.
But not comfort, especially during the day.
I wouldn’t have bet a kopek full of holes.
But there is. Yes, there is.

Fancy shooting a short video on how you treat yours?
Sorry, no video. Really not good at.
This can help. I hope.

Cheers, I'll give it a go.
I have a "Wilkinson Sword Barbers Style Designer razor", which I was pleasantly surprised by, so I'll try it with that one and DE blades.

Today’s theme is comfort.

Battle between the young challenger and the champion.
Fusion SkinGuard has been talked about a lot and well.
But I must say, Gillette Labs doesn’t look bad at all.
Full shave in three steps for each, on one side.
After about ten hours the result is perfect.
Frankly I do not notice differences in comfort.
I wouldn’t have bet.
I’m surprised.
Pleasantly.

Slight differences in regrowth, in favor of the new.
Obviously, with more blades.
So more depth.
Not a lot more.
