Hot water rinse
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89KN
Blade: Nacet (1)
Brush: Vulfix Grosvenor 404 mixed
Shaving Soap/Cream: Proraso Green
Aftershave Balm: Nivea Sensitive Cooling
Aftershave: Proraso Green AS + Jaguar Classic Black EdT

A hot day in prospect called for cooling shave accoutrements, so I disrupted the soap rotation to bring out Proraso Green, which brought a pleasant chill to the chops. The new blade delivered a relaxed BBS, 9/10, with a minor nick on the chin from a careless stroke. Nivea Cooling ASB + Proraso Green AS provided more welcome cooling shots and Jaguar Classic Black EdT a fine scent.

Stay cool & safe.

Regards,
Chris

Simpson 'Milk Churn' - Signature Soaps Leodis - Kai Captain Clone/Feather Professional - Bien-être Cologne

2 passes and a touch up for an excellent shave.
Should probably have left it until later as I have some work to do on the bike and my rose theme will be replaced by 'Eau de Engine Oil'

Thanks to the prompt intervention of Domenico, a trusted plumber, today I could take a shower: hot, long, libidinous...

The gear remained almost unchanged from yesterday: I decided to switch to a deeper razor and I forgot about the lavender lowers.
But I defy anyone to say that this picture is not a masterpiece, despite the redolent absence.
But they were in the bathroom and watched with an air of disapproval their exclusion.

The shaving was smooth, but, with all the thoughts that crowd my mind, I got the wrong blade and took the SOC instead of the Feather: on the Rotbart I prefer sharper blades. But I can guarantee I got a mirror finish!

Today's shaving also revealed to me that the physical decay due to age creates curious effects: the Scottish soap today had an exceptional scent: a very lavenderish lavender fragrance.
Why did it previously puzzle me?
I would reveal it if I knew it.

The photo shows that I didn't use the bowl for the lathering: preferred to use a brush with a small knot to dip it directly into the cream.

In spite of its size it proved to be effective, but despite having loaded well and for a long time, I had to load it again for the second pass.

Now I'm ready to go out and spread fragrance and sex appeal...

A rather nostalgic Shave with this Icon of the AC/SE Shaving world, as I am passing it on to pastures new. I have far too many Razors of different persuasions so need to thin out the holdings. A great Shave today which nearly made me change my mind, but as I am tending to favour some of my newer additions I will maintain my resolve, already in a box to go.
The Mongoose really has to be one of the Classic AC/SE Razors and I have enjoyed using it over the years, and I think its going to a good Home.
