I'm a fan of the Wickham 1912's, but I also have in may stash a couple of tubs of super smooth that I snagged a few months ago.

I used the Southsea Spray yesterday and I have to say I'm very impressed. Perhaps even more than the 1912. This might be because it's even softer and more like a cream than the 1912, so as a novice it's giving me a better lather but - woohoo.

Next shave will be with the ?spice trade? (the old spice smell alike). I guess the up side of it not being in production any more is that I can't break my New Year's resolution by trying to buy more.

Super Smooth was indeed a great soap and I use mine often (I have the full range :D) ... 1912 is a significantly better soap. I get where you're coming from, what with Super Smooth being creamy, but for slapping firm, slippy yogurt all over your face, it's got to be 1912. Versus some of the seriously high-brow French soaps, 1912 really is up there ...

For me, the stars of the Super Smooth range were (in no particular order):

South Sea Spray - very VERY close to vintage soaps from the '50s
Sheridan's - super cigar and booze Saturday night soap
    Spice Trade - well, duh!
English Rose - a fine, green stem English Rose that stood alone amongst the Otto roses out there. Lovely!
Imperial Trevor - personally, I prefer it to the same scent in 1912

    Happy hunting!

Had a shave with this Friday - the scent is excellent. Now if we could persuade Derron @Fox to do spice trade as a 1912 I think he'd have at least 2 customers!

I see a super smooth in BST - tempted...

I had both the English Rose and Spice Trade in Super Smooth, great scents. The rose was my favourite.

I'm hoping it makes it into large scale production.

Tried Club Cola in super smooth and it's a great scent. I moved it on to replace it with another soap I wanted. Would definitely get it in 1912.

    (Club Cola)

Much more crisp in 1912 ... pure citrus and caramel. I have both the Super Smooth and the 1912.

The citrus notes in all the 1912 range soaps are really good!

The only Wickhams 1912 I'm not keen on.
