It looks like I haven't put my 5 up yet, so here goes:

    Barrister and Mann Beaudelaire
    Vintage Old Spice
    Vintage Dubarry Silkashave
    Vintage Yardley Black Label
    Vintage Morny

Using any of these just about guarantees a great shave. Also, a very honourable mention for the OSP Spice Road prototype, its a shame it never got made in that formulation.

Having looked at other people's top 5 and having tried a few samples from shavedash & Connaught, my top 5 now looks like:

    1. PannaCrema Nuavia Verde
    2. Czech & Speake
    3. NSS Signature
    4. Lea Classic
    5. Proraso white

I have plenty more to sample, but I'll be amazed if owt shifts the top 2, particularly no.1
