    A Tale of Two Blades.
Having started the month with modern SEs, I thought it time to turn to some Vintage ones. As I had recently received some honed Vintages blades, I though this was opportunity to try one out. I chose to use my favourite 1912 Razor, a nice brass Gem Junior which I prefer to the Damaskeene.

I started off tentatively and as usual on the Cheeks. The first few strokes felt quite harsh and aggressive, and I found out that the combo was not really efficient either. I tried out a couple of strokes on the neckline which were not nice so decided to rethink the Shave

I reloaded the Razor with a new Gem coated blade. The Razor was transformed, and the Shave was smooth and efficient with a very pleasing close all round finish. What was initially had been an unpleasant experience was redeemed by the change of blade.

First time with the FHT and although I prefer the weight of this to theFeatherweight, I prefer the grip of the Featherweight. Fussy sod, I know.
Also, the first use of this cream and the Cedarwood scent is very nice, not overpowering. But, what started out as a nice glossy yoghurt soon dissipated, leaving glide but not much cushion.
Using two mild razors in a row confirmed my belief that a more efficient razor is kinder to the skin, less passes and less touch ups = less irritation, but as always, ymmv.

Simple, but oh so refreshing. I love the scent on this Le Père Lucien soap...

These Razor Master soaps are very slick and cushioning and this is my favourite scent of the three tried so far but all have caused mild irritation. First use of my Cobra for ages, it was wonderful to use again. Lovely shave despite the irritation.
