Now it's time to tell you great guys about my SOTD!

Friday morning:

Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Astra day 5
Stirling Glacial Spearmint SS
Stirling Glacial Spearmint AS Balm
Fine Snake Bite AS Splash
Preferred Stock Cologne

This was such a wonderful three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed so much. The Glacial Spearmint soap felt borderline-painful (in a most delightful way!) with its overwhelming menthol effect and it delivered a huge amount of rich, slick, protective lather. Its scent reminded me a lot of Mo's awesome Chapmunk soap because of the spearmint scent but with this one the menthol attacks you right away and each pass feels colder. Like with every Stirling soap I have, this one is so gentle on the skin. The matching balm feels cold a well as ultra-soothing and the Snake Bite aftershave went on mega-frigid!

Enjoy your weekend!

Jeff

Oooh-ud. Goooud. Smooud. Well, the Pearl OC head isn’t exactly smooth, and talk of ‘tight tolerance’ would be far off the mark, as the blade easily misaligned and makes one side more aggressive than the other. But it’s efficient for sure. The rest of the gear — definitely smooud.

Many thanks to James (@Acer89) for a very generous PIF which included this wonderful soap.
It has everything you want in a soap and some: Pleasant Scent✓ Cushion ✓ Slickness ✓✓ Post Shave ✓✓
The Gillette Nacet is one of my favourite readily available DE blades, sharp and smooth from the first.
The Marspen showed none of its +70 years as it sprightly danced across my face, eradicating all in its path.
What a great end to the week.
Happy Shaving one and all!

Georgetown Pottery G12 scuttle (Hamada & Persimmon)
Rooney Emillion 1 Porcelain Finest (25/50) (new brush)
Figaro P.160 shaving soap (vintage)
Delta Echo Black Chrome-Nickel Feather AS-D2
Personna Super Platinum Chrome (8)
Azzaro aftershave

I can tell already that this brush is going to be a favorite. It is firm and has great backbone, but the hair tips are extremely soft.

Happy to know you enjoyed your pif mate. The Cyril R. Salter tallow is one of my top three and it's made here in the UK.
I think this is the first time I've ever seen a Marspen razor. Very nice

Oh, and just a note about the Salter soap. If it's 70 or 100g then its tallow version. Any other weight and it's non tallow.

Tallow is the no1 ingredient

Preshave: Hot water rinse + bloom water
Razor: Gillette Slimtwist
Blade: Astra SP (1)
Brush: Plisson Pure Badger (vintage)
Shave Soap: Speick
Aftershave Balm: Rock Face Shave Butter
Aftershave: Speick

Speick soap for me performs with the best and is perfectly complemented by the AS. An enjoyable shave with a BBS finish, in preparation for lunch with friends.

Happy days.

Regards,
Chris
