Gentlemen, I'd like your opinion on Trumper's soap if you can. I have not had a great experience with this product, mostly to do with lathering it, and on other forums and YouTube I see I am not alone. I emailed the company with regard to this and have had a reply. It appears they sell "tens of thousands" of this product and don't understand what the issue is. If I could have a straightforward opinion (keeping it decent!) I would like to forward this to the company. Thanks.

Current formulation lacks core properties, including stability, slickness and cushion. Thus making the product unfit for use under its understood purpose. This has been proven privately through testing and consumer use. No matter how many units are sold, re-orders and feedback go beyond brand status and provide a more realistic measure as a consumerable.

With respect to consumer satisfaction perhaps a polled vote via this thread would further enlighten Trumpers.

I've got some of the older stuff. It's magic. Such a shame it's not like that anymore.

My older stuff is non tallow too.

I have tried a couple of their soaps. I passed on both as I found them to be lacklustre performers, certainly not in favourable comparison to ToBS (not that they were great either), but were better than GFT. Whether this was all part of a reformulation and / or move away from Tallow, I don't know. But possibly.

Does anyone know who actually manufacturers the soap? Im under the impression it is Creightons?

It's surprising it's such a poor product as their cream is excellent and up there with Taylor's

I did point out to them @flobberdob that I rated other products very highly, especially the coconut shaving cream, which is fantastic.

I've never tried it on the grounds that everyone says it's crap.

I do like the coconut cream though.

I bought the Eucris soap last week in their shop after smelling it for the first time. I toyed with the idea of cream rather than soap, but thought what the hell, I like a challenge.

I hope it's not like the Truefitt & Hill soap as I couldn't get on with that at all.

@flobberdob I may be wrong but I think Creighton's make creams and balms, not solid soaps.
